Artist's Description

This is my tribute to the wonderful creature that is the snail, and its for all the little guys that I have accidentally trod on throughout the years. That awful crunch on a wet Summers evening is the stuff of nightmares, and as the shadow of the impending foot falls over the poor snail, alas evolution has ruled out any evasive action on their part. I wanted to depict some speed and chaos as the snail tries to induce speed, which gradually slows to the reality of a full stop, which is the snail, trundling on, in its own little world.
